1) Advertised Assignments
This method always proves most popular with clients as a
quick and efficient means of producing a valid short list of
candidates for any business critical role. There is a cost
involved at the onset of the assignment and in general this
approach is used for the more senior appointments where speed is
of the essence and a real cost to the business can be perceived
if the appointment is delayed. Here, we will often use the
appointments section of the national press which, on the
surface, seems extortionate but is certainly worth every
pound.
2) Database Search
TSA does maintain a database of over 12,000 candidates which
is added to on a daily basis. This excellent source of
candidates is used for our day-to-day operations in providing
Sales, Marketing and Technical Support candidates on a ad hoc
basis in accordance with clients' demand. It can often provide
one or two "back-up" candidates for an assignment, thereby
giving the client a wider choice from less active job
seekers.
3) Search and Selection
This is an extension of the database search whereby we
"network" through both our candidate and client databases in
order to track down, often by recommendation, individuals who
are on the market and meet the client's requirements. This
method is extremely time consuming and is only cost effective
where a client has a senior appointment to make, but without
time pressure.
